Blog Tour-Friendship With Fire by Melissa Foster

IT IS A NINE BOOK SERIES

Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break--working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and--just maybe--explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.
Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.
Josh and Riley's friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every erotic caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley's mentor accuses her of stealing the design.
Facing indisputable proof and the mistrust of her lover, Riley is not sure she can take the heat of life in the fast lane of the fashion industry--and Josh is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the career he adores.

My Review

Another astonishing book from the series Snow Sisters & The Bradens will seriously take your
breath away. The plot itself will leave you craving for more. It is filled with passionate moments,
smart repartee and tale full of love.
The author, Melissa Foster has done a great job in building her characters and giving them
unique persona. The story itself is well-written and far out ardent. Although it is written in 3rd
POV (which is I am not fond of) I didn't get bored reading all the way through, my eyes were
glued to each words and happenings. One thing that made this story remarkable is its principle.
In our life there is always that someone who will confide us when we are in melancholy. Well in
this book there are tons of those people. They have means to let the main character find its way
in seeing what is right for oneself and for the greater good. What struck me most is the guidance
of Riley's mom. It seems like her advices are based from experience of someone (by the author
perhaps?), or as what they say “been there done that”. I was nodding the whole time her mother
talks about giant leap of faith, the certainty of here and now, time heals not just broken bones but
broken hearts as well and so on and so forth. The knowledge and wisdom were overflowing I
cannot contain it. –heh- or maybe I was just too absorbed in reading this good book,
exceptionally good. Either way I am much thankful that I’ve got the opportunity to read this.
Now let’s talk about the main characters. Josh Braden, the male character (duh). I’ll be damned
by this guy. Most leading men in some stories have this bad boy, intimidating, get-out-of-myway-
or-ill-kick-your-ass kind of aura which is actually fine. But in here though, the character is...
hot, sexy, drool worthy, gorgeous, and all those panty dropping descriptions. Physical narrative
aside, he is a very kind man, a passionate partner, stern leader, meticulous designer and many
more. But above all he believes and has faith in love. I am used to guys whose souls and beliefs
were crushed by unforgettable and excruciating past, thus conviction to heavenly emotions... –
gone. So Josh is a breather for me. I could just swoon all day thinking of him (lol). Riley Banks,
the very talented, independent and smart woman. I really like her; she is not bitchy despite her
little insecurities. Professionalism is in her bones even if some leech is clinging to Josh, well she
has her way of handling herself (jealousy in tow). But regardless of her strong facade, she is
quite fragile. In those moments, she has her family and friends in which she can rely on to and of
course Josh. I also love the auxiliary characters. They were all impressive may it be a friend or a
foe.
I don’t know much about fashion stuffs but this book did not leave me oblivious of those things.
I wonder if the author is a fashion goddess herself because every detail of certain clothing or
critics is well-expressed. The knowledge that surge through the characters mouth about clothing
designs and the proper combinations had me asses my own fashion sense... which sadly nonexistent.
Anyway, another thing I love about this book is the quandary they encounter. Again the
way the author concentrate on a certain dilemma had me understand and be in sync with the
story. That is why I totally recommend this book, for those who are into romance and deliciously
erotic genre. Well even if you are not on those genres, you will still be captivated by this book’s

spell.

The Hunted One by Meg Collett-Interview with the Meg Collett

The Hunted One (End of Days, Book 1)

by Meg Collett
The fallen have trespassed into Heaven for the first time in eternity. Prepared for battle, Michaela and her Archangels open Heaven’s gates to confront the fallen. Only, Michaela’s Archangels—her brothers and sisters in Heaven—betray her. And when the fallen attack the sanctuary in the skies through the gates Michaela inadvertently left open, the holy angels accuse Michaela of planning the invasion.

One simple mistake with a thousand consequences.

Dragged to Earth by an Archangel turned fallen, Michaela will do anything to return to Heaven and save it. In her fervor, she kills the Archangel—something no angel has ever done before. Wingless, without any hope, Michaela welcomes death when an unlikely human ally, Clark, finds her. With the help of Clark and Gabriel, an innocent Archangel whose friendship deepens into something far more torrid and unexpected on Earth, Michaela must prove the holy angels have their own plan for Heaven, and it is one that may prove to be the End of the Days.

It may be too late to save herself, but Michaela is the only one who knows the truth about the holy angels. If she fails, she may never be able to return to Heaven. But even that may be a hopeless dream

My review((FULL FIVE STARS REVIEW!!))-https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/784668767

About this author

Meg Collett lives deep in the hills of Tennessee where there the cell phone service is a blessing and internet is a myth of epic proportions. She is the mother of one giant horse named Elle and one giant dog named Wylla. Her husband is a saint for putting up with her ragtag life. End of Days is her first series, and trust her when she tells you that she hopes you enjoy it, because it has been a big pain in her #%&. Just kidding. Sort of.

When Meg Collett asked me to review her I read the synopsis and I found its about angels and that was even more AWESOME!!! When I started reading I was so hooked on it,I loved it so much that I was just halfway through the book and I knew I had to interview this wonderful author who wrote this beautiful, unique book about angels and Hell. I wanted to know her more! and when she accepted my request..I was delighted!! let me tell you I have never interviewed an author and I was fountd this book so awesome and addicting  that with the review I also wanted to know her about how she got into writing this book ! So Meg Collett became my new favorite author and The Hunted One Became one of the best books I have read.

Here is my interview with Her :)

1)Okay first question, tell us something about you and you recent book The Hunted One ?

I started writing this book in 2008. Since then, The Hunted One has gone through so many drafts that it’s depressing to count. I’ve finished two complete versions of this book only to throw them out. But this story wouldn’t let me go. I had to find a way to tell it. It took years, but this book taught me to write, and I feel like I’ve grown up with these characters. And now I’ve finally reached the finish line with it.

2)Why did you decide to Self-Publish?

I spent a lot of time researching self publishing versus traditional publishing. I had always believed I would query agents and play that whole waiting on rejection game. But after my research and talking with other self publishing authors, I realized I didn’t have to do that. I couldn’t find any incentive to pursue a traditional publishing deal. So I’ve never queried an agent. I didn’t even bother. I knew self publishing was the route for me. It was the harder road to take, and I knew I would have to work extra hard to separate me and my book from the pack. I spent thousands of dollars on editing. I ensured we had the best cover possible. I did everything in my power to make this book as good as it could be. Hopefully it will pay off.

3)Favorite authors or books which made an huge impact in your life?

I grew up reading The Saddle Club and Nancy Drew. I think those books fostered my love for reading. I spent my summers staying at my grandparent’s house, and the only books my grandmother had was Mary Higgins Clark and Nora Roberts. So I read those, and I loved them. I was an only child, so these characters I read about became my companions and my imaginary friends. They set my imagination on fire.

4) What inspired you to start writing?

Back in 2008 when I started writing, I was in a pretty dark place. I was young and alone at college. I didn’t make a lot of friends. So I had all these negative emotions pent up inside of me that I needed to get out. So I started writing, and the bones of that story slowly evolved into The Hunted One.

5)Is there any message you want to convey through this book ?

I’ve always wanted to tell a story about redemption. I wanted a character who would rise from the dirt and grime of their life to become something extraordinary and special. The message I sought to get across in this book was that even if you’ve lost faith in yourself or find yourself broken down, you can overcome and fight for what is right and what you believe in.

6)If the book is turned into a movie, which actors would you like to portray the characters Michaela, Gabriel, Clark ?

Oh! Fun! Ok, from the very beginning, I modeled Clark after Jared Leto, who is a hero of mine. Jared even had a pink Mohawk like Clark sports throughout the book.

So then for Gabriel, I always pictured him as a tougher looking guy with a serious face. For some reason I always leaned toward Chris Hemsworth, but with a shaved head and gold eyes.

As far as Michaela’s casting, I’ve never actually found anyone that suited her. Maybe you could help me? Could Fallen for Books find the perfect Michaela?!?!?!

Well,Meg found her Michaela :) Here she is...

7)5 quick questions about you? :)

Favorite Movie? – The Searchers with John Wayne
Favorite actors and actress? – Johnny Depp and Scarlet Johannson
Favorite Genre? – Paranormal/Contemporary Fantasy
Favorite TV Show? – Game of Thrones
Favorite Hobby? – Riding my horse

Interview Questions

ALL I EVER WANTED is a winter anthology, complete with sledding races, spiked hot cocoa, and ice skating. Are you a winter lover?

Marilyn: I grew up in Wisconsin and now live in Illinois, so I’ve had to make peace with shoveling snow and scraping ice away every winter, LOL, but I can’t say I love the cold temps. I am very, very fond of hot cocoa (both spiked and unspiked), however, and I’ve always enjoyed ice skating and watching the Winter Olympics when they’re on.
Caisey: I love winter clothes, but the actual cold part, not so much!
Rhonda: For the most part, yes! But usually when I’m inside, sitting by a deliciously roaring fire. lol. I hate being super cold, but I do enjoy making snowmen, sled racing, and ice skating. I also like taking outdoor pictures.
Lexi: Maybe I’d say yes if it were a sweltering Indiana summer out my door right now, but instead it’s twelve inches of snow and negative windchills and I’m feeling like I really, really don’t like winter. But I sure don’t mind writing about it.

This anthology is really unique in that all the stories are connected and scenes from one story might appear in another. What was your favorite part about working on this anthology?

Marilyn: I loved the experience of getting to see a scene told in multiple viewpoints by our differing main characters. And it was fascinating to work so closely on a writing project with three authors whose stories I admire so much.
Caisey: Getting to see the many differences and similarities in each of our writing processes.
Rhonda: There was a community created by working so closely together that I’ve never experienced before. It really made me connected to my story and to the others. We were all vested in each other’s novellas, which I loved.
Lexi: We spent a weekend in Louisville to really nail down some of the continuity issues on the anthology. We worked a lot, but we also laughed more than I think I’ve ever laughed in my life. We writers spend an awful lot of time in solitude. It was wonderful to laugh with people who “get” the business like you do..

What was the most difficult part about putting it together?

Rhonda: Oh, all those nitpicky touches, the back-and-forth exchanges of scenes, then going over and over and over it all to make sure we didn’t mess up the timeline. FUN. lol
Marilyn: Yeah, Rhonda nailed it. There were a lot of details!
Caisey: What Rhonda said!
Lexi: To echo what Rhonda said...When we were in Louisville, we sat down at about 10am to start nailing down some of the details. We went page by page through each of our stories. “Oh, here your character says this.” “No, he wouldn’t change it quite like that. Change it to this.” “What’s Maya wearing that night?” “How would Kennedy be acting at the opening address?” Yes! Tons of details! But it was worth it to create what I think is a really unique product.

Obviously, a love of new adult romance brought you four together for this anthology. Name two of your favorite NA reads.

Marilyn: Aside from Lexi’s, Caisey’s, and Rhonda’s stories, which are awesome, I’ve also really enjoyed The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski and Violet Duke’s Resisting the Bad Boy.
Caisey: Oh gosh. There are so many good ones it’s hard to pick just two! My two faves of 2013 were probably Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee and Break It Up by E.M. Tippetts.
Rhonda: Well, I love all of my fellow anthology authors’ works, lol. Seriously, they’re brilliant--make sure to check them out. But if we go beyond those, I also adored EASY by Tammara Webber and TANGLED by Emma Chase. So good!
Lexi: Oh, yes, I echo what everyone else said. Read them first! Obviously we enjoy each other’s work and that’s why we decided to do this together. After them, definitely EASY by Tammara Webber and ONE WEEK GIRLFRIEND (well, the whole series) by Monica Murphy.

Excerpt

Since this anthology is a collection of 4 novellas, each excerpt package includes an excerpt from each of the four and should be used in its entirety. You may choose between the three packages (found in separate files).

From ALL ABOUT US by Marilyn Brant

Alex slipped through the swinging door off to the side of the counter and joined me. I was still holding the plate with the scone out for him. He took it from me this time…and immediately set it on the counter.
“Oh, sorry! Did you want a fork?” I asked, reaching toward the drawer with the silverware.
But he put his hand on mine, stopping me. “No, Samantha,” he whispered. “That isn’t what I want.”
He swallowed again and nudged me toward the kitchen wall nearest us until my shoulders were touching it. Until the zipper of his leather jacket pressed against the red Abbott’s Sweet Confections apron I was wearing. Until I could feel his breath on my forehead.
He looked into my eyes and waited. Waited until I’d tilted my head up toward him and licked my lips and leaned a little closer. Then he smiled and brought his mouth down on mine.
Everything about our kiss said hunger to me. We were in a place filled with heaping platters of food, but Alex was the only thing in the whole building I wanted to devour. It was like my dream from this morning, only better because it wasn’t a simple dream. Because I could really feel the roughness of his stubble on my cheek, smell the crisp January air when he exhaled, taste the warmth of his tongue as it mingled with mine and left me wanting more. More of him. All of him.

From ALL I NEED by Caisey Quinn

Somehow it had become bigger than us. Bigger than a couple of kids playing around in the garage. At our last few shows, we’d been approached by managers and even a few small record labels.
I gripped the steering wheel so tight to keep from reaching over and putting my hand on her knee that my knuckles ached. As much as I wanted to comfort her, I knew if I ever touched her like that I wouldn’t be able to stop. A hand on the knee would turn to a hand on her inner thigh. Which would turn to… Jesus. I could not go there while operating a motor vehicle. Think of the band, dude.
We were on the brink of something huge, and in a way, it was fucking terrifying. What was even more terrifying was that every second of the day I knew I was one wrong move from ruining all of it. From destroying Ev’s dream of the band making it big before she’d even had a chance to live it.

From ALL FOR LOVE by Rhonda Helms

With her eyes fixed down at the table, Maya’s voice was soft as she began to organize the trays for easy carrying. “I’m not a little kid anymore, Oliver.”
No, she wasn’t—she was nineteen now, no longer that scrawny pre-teen girl our family had unofficially adopted. My gaze was drawn to her face, and I studied her like it was the first time I was really seeing her. Her high cheekbones, the bridge of her small nose, the proud thrust of her chin.
My focus moved to her mouth, and I detected a slight sheen of pink gloss on her lips. Funny, that color made her mouth look more plump than usual.
My throat tightened.
“What are you thinking about?” she suddenly asked as she turned to face me. Her intense brown eyes locked on mine.
I swallowed; my heart gave a knock against my ribcage. “Um, what?”
Maya took a step toward me, and her tongue darted out to lick her lower lip. My eyes darted down and I noticed her coat was unzipped a touch. Enough for me to see right into the curves of her cleavage.
A strange stirring pumped through my torso, a throb that ended at my crotch and caused my back to stiffen. I ripped my attention away from her chest and looked back into those eyes that were staring so innocently up at me. What the hell was my problem today? Was I seriously just checking out Maya—my friend?

From ALL OR NOTHING by Lexi Ryan

“So, are we going to pretend it didn’t happen?” he asked. His voice was low and rough, and I wanted to rub against it, nuzzle it like a cat. You’ve lost your mind, some sane part of my brain told me. “Because I think we should talk about it.”
My head snapped back and my eyes went wide. “Talk about what?”
“October? You showing up unannounced? Naked in my bed? Ring any bells?”
This was not the conversation I’d expected to have tonight. Didn’t he want to pretend it hadn’t happened even more than I did?
His dark eyes softened as he studied me, and I stiffened at his pity. I hated that he felt sorry for me.
“Yes,” I finally said. “Yes, we’re going to pretend it didn’t happen. I hardly remember it anyway. You know me. I get drunk and do stupid things.”
“And then you avoid my calls for months? Fuck that, Bree.” I tried to escape his embrace, but he drew me tighter against him and whispered in my ear, “I’m not going to let you throw this friendship away just because you’re embarrassed by some dumb drunken mistake.”
Dumb drunken mistake? Five years of unrequited love and he thought the night I found the courage to act on it was a drunken mistake?
